EnquireWhat these products do
Water reducing admixture
Lets you use less water for the same workability, or get better workability at the same water. Normal water reducers give a modest reduction.
High range water reducer
Also called a superplasticiser. Gives a large water reduction and makes low water cement ratio, high strength and self-compacting concrete possible.
Retarder
Delays setting. Useful in hot weather, long transport and large pours.
Accelerator
Speeds up setting and early strength. Useful in cold weather or when early de-shuttering is needed. An alkali free grade is also available.
Corrosion inhibitor
Helps protect reinforcement steel from corrosion in concrete.
Good practice
- Run a trial mix with your own cement, aggregates and water before using at scale. Results change with the cement.
- Add the admixture with the mixing water, not on dry cement.
- Do not mix two admixtures together before dosing unless their compatibility is confirmed.
- An admixture helps a good mix. It does not fix a poor one.
